Şuior ski slopes and Mogoşa

From the top of the mountain turn two tracks: Moskau and Mogoşa. Moskal Slope is one of the most difficult in Maramures (33% incline) but offers spectacular scenery due to the high altitude (1300 m). At its base, skiers have the opportunity to be on the Şuior continue lowering either Mogoşa, the last ending at the lake and lodge.

Cavnic

Cavnic ski area

Location: the two ski areas from Cavnic (slopes and slopes wheel icon) are 200m from each other - out of town Cavnic to Sighet Memorial, up the river Cavnic.

Access to the ski area from Cavnic: from Baia Mare (~ 30km)> Baia For DN 18> Cavnic resort> at the exit of the village on the right.

The slopes of Cavnic have in total over 9 kilometers long and are serviced by a lift installation type.

wheel slopes

 The field consists of slopes:

• Wheel 1 - medium - length 920m - equipped with lifts and night;
• Wheel 2 - easy level - 1030m length - equipped with lifts and night;
• Wheel 3 (Rainer) - level hard - length 800m - equipped with lift - no night;
• 4 wheel (or Rainer2) - difficulty level - 1000m in length - no night;
• The Blue - medium - length 2250m - equipped with lift - without night.

Lift Costs: Costs range from 15 lei (3 ascents) and reach 520 lei ski pass valid for 7 days.

Lift Program: Monday - closed; Tuesday - Sunday open from 09.00 - 21.00

If you come to Cavnic summer you can experience the only one artificial ski slope in Romania. The slope measures the width 21m / 100m long and is made of synthetic rubber.

It seems that this slope is currently 21st artificial slope of the world.

Slope Icoana

At a distance of about 200 m from the slopes Roata, are slopes Icoana. Here is a slope for beginners equipped with baby lift, two snow tubing trails and a toboggan run.

The two-Icon Cavnic slopes they have together 700m lenght (equipped with lifts and nocturna) - this average level 750m (equipped with lifts and night sweats) - medium.

The slopes start at an altitude of 950m and reach 1260m with an average incline of 24%.
